Naisoso Bridge

The Naisoso Island project involved the development of a Master-planned island resort. Included in the works was the raising of the island’s levels to above flood levels, and developing 5- and 4-star hotels, boutiques, a day spa and a marina. As part of the early works package, an access bridge was required to be constructed. An existing design by another consulting firm had a bridge with a construction budget of $5,500,000 (Fiji dollars). Through our innovative design concepts, Structural Design Solutions was able to fully design and construct a new bridge with a total construction cost of $3,500,000 (Fiji dollars), saving the client $2,000,000 (Fiji dollars).

The Student Services Building houses the school’s house groups, head of house teachers and associated amenities and offices. The completed Design includes creation of a central courtyard with tiered seating for outdoor meetings and lectures. This building is the central hub for the senior/middle year cohort. The building links to existing teaching areas at multiple levels and embraces the central courtyard space that these buildings create.

This is one of several Urbannest rollouts around Sydney. Engaged by Buildcorp as part of a D&C team, Structural Design Solutions were brought on board to provide faster, more cost-effective designs. Synergy has three basement levels in addition to 25 levels of residential apartments. The building will be a post tensioned and reinforced concrete structure, which will also be heavily reliant on precast to achieve the seminally random appearance of the building façade. Geotechnical investigations, wind modelling and advanced modelling core design have been invaluable to achieving an economical and buildable structural outcome.
